The seats offered are rear side orch either row T or row V seats 35-39 (39 is on the side aisle). Both of those views were from 2 rows back.

I've had partial view seats on several occasions.

It is a huge theatre so last row mezzanine may be too far back. Moms. I have sat in all partial view seats from row BB-H and if you do decide to sit there try and get further back. I sat on the aisle with partial view seats when I saw Wicked.

These seats are central to the stage and offer an excellent, panoramic view of every detail in Wicked.Not too close to the stage, but close enough to see every detail, these are the perfect seats to fully immerse yourself in the production. Members who are knowledgeable about this destination and volunteer their time to answer travelers' questions. I know I missed a couple of entrances, or they were just slightly delayed for me, but overall didn't feel like the view was much different from a few seats over that were not partial view. For that price, I would wait, but regular tickets several months in advance and be able to see the entire show. You accumulate them from staying at a Starwood hotel (Sheraton, Four Points, Westin, W hotels.) I've sat BB5 once and BB6 a few times and I LOVE BB6.

If you can get the left hand side I say go for it. I have never seen the show at the Gershwin, but from what I've heard, the partial view seats are one of the better deals on Broadway because you're not really missing that much.

My tip would be to aim for the even side, because on the odd side, there's a staircase that seriously blocks a LOT of the action. Theatre is my life. I know how it used to be to bring up window after window, but now you get a full seating chart and individually select which seats you want, kind of like Roundabout's online ticketing.
