They damn sure don’t advertise that. I can't begin to guess how much was spent on the numerous over-the-top stage costumes and elaborate 'street' clothes worn by Mr. Egerton in the movie, there must be over 70 wardrobe changes.

I've been thoroughly entertained by this movie since I originally saw it on VHS (not long after it was out in theaters). BUT, this movie was HORRIBLE. We get to know Reggie Dwight as a 5 yr. old, living with his miserable parents (his dad is cold and aloof, to say the least), but Reggie takes an immediate interest in his dad's record collection... Elton begins telling his life story to the group, and as he starts singing "The Bitch Is Back", the movie morphs back to Elton's early childhood. We got it for a family trip and neither my husband or kids had seen it before.
I recently came across it again on Amazon and decided to buy it so that I could watch it with my 8 and 10 year old sons. Accident-prone astro-nut Fred Randall is the last guy you would want on a mission to Mars. Two or three times in the movie they mention other rock stars are at a gig or party but there are no scenes with them. Rocketman. Couldn't even get through 30 minutes of it... like some dis-jointed dream sequence that turns into a musical, complete with dancers... it's like they are planning to make it into a musical and said... "let's see how this turns out on film first".... seriously, was SO looking forward to a linear storyline about Sir Elton's life... (A GREAT story on it's own merit) without seeing the little 10 year old Elton all of a sudden jump up and start singing "Saturday's All Right for Fighting" along with the accompanying dancers... which, BTW, Bernie Taupin wrote the lyrics what, 15 years after this supposedly takes place ?

Wasted 20.00, Taron deserves an oscar for his performance, Reviewed in the United States on August 8, 2019. He was excellent in this movie and then I never have seen him in anything again....But, really, GET THIS MOVIE and watch with the kids!
