Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson have also played a large factor in the backfield and will likely split duties in the interim. This backfield has produced 29.5 touches per game, so even though Week 4 was a dud, there are enough touches to produce. Not with the paucity of draft picks and number of roster holes they have. Granted, he didn't do much with those touches (38 total yards) but that's hardly a big enough sample size to judge. Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson have also played a large factor in the backfield and will likely split duties in the interim. × I mean they traded up to get him. Henderson generated plenty of hype after being selected in the third round of last year's draft, but injuries and a tough adjustment to the pro game left him with only 43 touches in 13 games. He was injured towards the end of last season so he never got an opportunity to truly show what he has but in the limited work he did get he looked impressive. You cannot paste images directly. Display as a link instead, × By It's gonna be Henderson and Brown competing to start but could be an ugly RBBC. Brown got the lion's share of the work in Week 1, rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns. Pasted as rich text. Not a single player was consistent all year long. Last year was 254 in 15 games played. He’s definitely worth the gamble if the Rams don’t add any depth through free agency, or the draft. What a disappointment it was in Week 4 as Henderson had everything trending in the right direction, but then wound up receiving just nine opportunities against the Giants. A hundred plus touches were there for Henderson to warrant further usage but he didn't get it done. He’ll be a solid RB2 with RB1 potential. I'd take a late round stab at him. It appears Sean McVay was being 100 percent honest when he said that he wanted his offense to be like Kyle Shanahan's offense, with a different running back every week. He's worth a stash on your bench in deeper leagues but probably can't be trusted to get extended work. Gurley had 315 touches the year before, over 14 games. I got him in a keeper league last year and I’m definitely keeping him. × The group went on about this guy, we talked about this player. Guess we'll see. Readers, myself included, we want to know where others stand on a given player. I can't speak to how it may seem & while I only hit on players maybe 10% of the time, Henderson happened to be one of them. Darrell Henderson broke out as a sophomore in college, rushing 130 times for 1,154 yards and nine touchdowns. By Mike Tagliere (FantasyPros), Thu, Oct 8th 2020, 8:55am EDT. Darrell Henderson Week 5 Outlook - Rams at Football Team. Seems like you missed out. Draft will obviously be very interesting for the Rams.. but since their cap is messy and they are limited with picks as it is, I can't see a RB signing/high pick coming. Henderson was an early-entry with limited experience in a system that didn't prepare him that well for the next level. 2020 Fantasy Outlook. Between Gurley & Henderson was Malcolm Brown, who didn't exactly set himself apart! Brown got the lion's share of the work in Week 1, rushing for 79 yards and two touchdowns. FantasyGuru24, February 15 in Fantasy Football Talk. Gotta figure the same people who hyped him & took him in the sixth round are the same ones now saying... he wasn't afforded the opportunity. "Seems like you missed out. This isnt the same offense since the middle of the 2018 season. Then, there's that team, the Rams. Your link has been automatically embedded. GL back for this team even this year , should pay off. Not even sure why he has a thread at this point. This guy should be on everyone's radar right now, especially with the news of Gurley's release. Savatage79, February 15 This was one of the longest ways to say nothing that I have ever read. You say you "got him", well, how did you attain him? By Brown moves into the clear RB2 conversation if Akers misses time. He was injured towards the end of last season so he never got an opportunity to truly show what he has but in the limited work he did get he looked impressive. Henderson is still the one I'd trust the most, though trusting him as anything more than an RB3 is too risky. Clear editor. Some coaches are dumb and stick to what they paid. Brown is teetering on the RB3/4 radar, while Akers is just a handcuff if he plays at all, as he's been out of practice the last two weeks. I like Henderson but I hope his price isnt ridiculous come draft time. He was a zero and couldn't even push a diminished Gurley. The matchup with Washington hasn't been great for opposing running backs, as there's been just one team of running backs to account for more than 17.2 PPR points, and that team of running backs was the Browns duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. Never mind the level of competition, the gobs of production vs air. Or, what wouldn't surprise me is that he wasn't ready. in Fantasy Football Talk. Playing in the Rams' timeshare, the rookie out of Florida State had a quiet NFL debut but appeared to be the Rams' lead back against the Eagles. Running backs have actually totaled 111 touches through four games against them, which is the 15th-most in football, but the 463 total yards rank as the 11th-fewest in football. I just can't really imagine Henderson not being the guy at this point. You're going to keep him, okay, in what round? Frank Gore? Unfortunately, the part that didn't materialize was Henderson assuming the available workload. That’s an unfathomable 8.9 yards per carry. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rams sign a cheap veteran and ride the vet and Brown. Paste as plain text instead, × He wasn't as far along as Jacobs, Montgomery or Mattison. Probably true. The interior line might be better with experience, and in a vacuum I like the talent level. I got him in a keeper league last year and I’m definitely keeping him. Would they really run another back out there after paying Gurley that much? I don't see what vet RB they would sign now. There's no chance he's available in your fantasy league at this point, and he should have already been slotted in as a solid flex play. I didn't see a lot out of Henderson last season but they just cut Gurley and it's clear they aren't going to draft a RB with a high pick.
