Lighting is another highlight but unlike the PC version, there is some slowdown on the Xbox One due to the amount of detail like asteroid fields. The only thing the game doesn’t do well is teach the player but thankfully there’s enough content from the PC version to help overcome this because the gamer is a true drop in the ocean while playing Elite Dangerous on the Xbox One. Once you scale its peak, though, its chief attraction is that it lets you see and travel farther than many other games have dared to.
If you don’t have access to Xbox Live, the game can be played solo but where this title shines is with other players and if you played the PC version, it’s a lot more exciting when challenging and being challenged by other gamers. Elite: Dangerous smartly adds variety by providing bulletin boards that allow like-minded explorers to deliver cargo, mine asteroids for minerals (right down to using lasers and scoops), fight wars for NPC factions, or ferry items from one station to another where they'll fetch a better price. This is the time to grab a drink or hit the bathroom. The size of the world in E.D: Horizons is actually astronomical and that vastness of space is what makes this game great but at the same time is its disadvantage.
