He has no real family or friends. The author described the emotions and thoughts of the character so well, and you could almost believe you were there, alongside A, in the body he inhabited. Do not interfere. No spoilers, but I wanted there to be more. I really enjoyed the book and finished it in two days (it would have only been one but real life kept intruding) but the ending wasn’t totally satisfying for me. But that's not the only problem. The only problem was that it had quite an abrupt ending, and I found myself turning the last page, only to be shown the acknowledgments. The best way to describe how I feel after finishing this book is that it was such a letdown, because it COULD have been so good. Of course, it’s a lonely existence for A. The plot, I thought, was brilliant. From that moment, the rules by which A has been living no longer apply. Every Day is David Levithan’s best book to date. One day, A might inhabit the body of a suicidal girl; the next, maybe an athletic boy. I would rate this book an 8.5 or even 9/10. Everyone has their own little story. It doesn’t come out until August, and I wasn’t meaning on writing this review so early, but I thought I’d get the early buzz rolling because you guys need to read this book. It’s definitely a new kind of forbidden love. I so desperately wanted the book to carry on! One person has experienced what it feels like to have A inside your body, and will do anything to make sure the world knows about the dangers of this 'demon'. Never get too attached. He’s responsible when it comes to taking care of each person’s body and doesn’t do anything drastic while he possesses the body. I’ve always been a fan of David Levithan’s books. You also couldn't see what was coming at all until the very end.
